Pondok Naya

We stayed here for 3 nights. There were lots of full full hand size lizards around as the place is situated in rice fields. Last night one big size lizard entered our room and it was making super loud and horrible sounds that we got scared and we couldnt sleep whole night. We asked the staff for help to get it out of our room at 01:00 in the night. Father of their Boss came and he tried to get escape of it from room but the lizard shifted above in the room bamboos. We requested them to give another room just for next 6-7 hours so we could sleep but they said no other room is available. They LIED!! I verified on the application and there were 4 other rooms available. We only requested them to help us as we really got scared but they said rudely “this is bali, here we have to stay with these Lizrads and if we cant we should leave the hotel now(at 01:00 AM). And their Boss said my Father is not going to come again since he needs sleep too” What about us! Somehow we spend that horrible scary night without a single minute sleep that hand size big scary lizard in our room. Because outside the room there were more of them. Next morning we checked out early at 08:00 AM and their BOSS STARTED SHOUTING AT US, HE GOT PHYSICAL AND STARTED PUSHING US AND ALSO TRIED TO HAVE A PHYSICAL FIGHT. Well noone pays any hotel to live with scary things in the room,they are ok outside the room not in room. And i suggest everyone not to stay at this Hotel ever. Since their Boss and his Father are super rude, they get physical, they dont care about well being of their customers, they are liers, short tempered and also they were Racist.

This place is gorgeous and really quite private - we had a hut in the middle and never saw or heard the people either side of us. The pool is only shared between three huts so was super private. The staff are really helpful, breakfast was great and love the touch of giving guests a phone to use and the buggy service. Only downside is that it’s a little bit out of Ubud and so you need to taxi/bike into the centre itself.
