Outdated, beach not at the property - but next to it (probably have to pay for it), not in the city centre - you need a car

Nasty!!! The worst hotel experience ever! I made a last-minute booking this morning and checked in just after 11 am. I went to the on-site restaurant, and the hostess charged my card USD$1,400.00 instead of $14.00. We went to the front desk to rectify it, and they said that they would apply the charge to my room bill instead (crazy, right?). It's a holiday weekend, and waiting 3-5 business days to have the refund processed is gravely inconvenient since I leave the country on Monday. Afterwards, I returned to the room, and in the drawers were animal droppings, hair, and lots and lots of mold on the pillows and other surfaces, including the bathroom, which was a scene from a movie. The room is extremely disgusting and clearly does not uphold any health and safety standards. Absolutely wouldn't recommend - STAY CLEAR!!!

We had the opportunity to stay at Bird Rock in March with my daughter who was there on business. The resort is typical old school Caribbean but very comfortable. When we checked in the staff assisted us with our luggage and showed us to our room. Our room was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed, apart from bathroom amenities like shampoo, lotion etc. The views from our rooms were of the Caribbean Sea and were fantastic with excellent sunsets every night. The resort was undergoing some needed renovations and additions while we were there, the addition of a beach club and restaurant on the water is something that we really loved. The staff was awesome and always had a smile for us, they worked very hard and always treated us like family. The grounds are well kept and full of beautiful plants, there are however some maintenance issues that need to be addressed with the rooms and buildings. In our room and the adjoining room, the sliding glass doors to the balcony needed to be fixed as they were difficult to operate, and the locks did not work. The rooms need to be updated and some attention paid to details like cables that were just hanging out of the wall with no wall plates. The pool was clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs, also some shade if you wanted to get out of the sun. They were just finishing the new swim up bar which will be a welcome addition to the pool area. Although the bathrooms functioned properly and we had hot water and good water pressure, they could use an update to the plumbing fixtures. Some new bath towels are needed, bathroom amenities like shampoo and lotion would be a good addition. Beach towels would also be a great addition. The things that will bring us back to Bird Rock are the staff and the owner Mr. Richards who made our stay so special.

Very nice scenery. Well located. Weirdest experience. No entertainment, no music, no veg food, giant community centre hall but nothing booked or going on, not even a cupboard with board games. When asked if there was entertainment or karaoke they responded as if i was the entertainment going to sing and dance for everyone 🤣🤷‍♀️. This I could be hired to do but no one had a guitar. Nothing to do but beach that might have belonged to another establishment? 🤣🤷‍♀️ currently confused. Room has kitchenette with no bowls, flipper or salt or pepper. No band aids. Staff could be friendlier perhaps BUT still having fun and adjusting. 😊 Guests are super frendly as well as the townfolk. Trying to entertain myself with things I don’t already do at home 🤷‍♀️. Still learning ❤️

Flush dosen't work. Wifi didn't work at all. Nobody to help with the bags. Not a great experience.

Having booked a studio (room kitchenette), my wife and I stayed there 4 nights in January 2024. And we were indeed very pleased with the large space we got : apart from the bed and full bathroom w.bathtub, we enjoyed a nice living space (sofa, table w. 2-4 chairs), a ''computer counter'' and a large closet, plus a fairly large balcony looking at the Caribbean See, as well as access to the swimming pool. And it's very affordable ! Every time my wife and I had need for something (laundry, iron, kitchenware, etc.), the staff would find a solution. Being set just on a rocky waterfront, the Bird Rock Beach Hotel is perfect for snorkelling; and the staff would lend you the gear for free ! The complex also has a bar and small restaurant, and is about 2-3 km from downtown Basseterre, and off the main road. To avoid having to hire a taxi every time, you have to walk 20-30 minutes to reach public transportation (collective buses). But that also keeps the place free of traffic noise. For the price, it's definitely one of the best values in St-Kitts !

I wish I can give this place 0 stars. I went there end of the year cause my friend was staying in that area (bird rock), and the hotel seemed to be closest to her. When I arrived, I had to wait outside for 30 mins cause no one was there to check me in. The office lights were off. When I got to my room, the it wasn’t as described in the pictures. The curtains were torn and old, bathroom wasn’t the best condition, my sliding door couldn’t close properly, and on top of that NO HOT WATER. After my second night I complained about the hot water, and I was offered a different. When I moved to the other room, there still wasn’t hot water, and to add insult to injury, my door knob came out when I returned from the party. I text the property and the lock could get fixed until after 9AM. It was such a horrible experience. At that point, I cancelled the second half of my reservation and booked a different hotel. The next morning I saw the owner Mr. richards, I approached him and he said he doesn’t know how all these issues are happening, and he doesn’t want to hear anything more from me. He was very rude and unwilling to help my issues. He said, I’ll be going somewhere else anyways. The lock was fixed and i was leaving the next day, I asked them to fix the hot water and no response. The manager wasn’t any help neither. I requested a refund cause of the horrible experience, the manager lied and said that they moved me to another room. Thankfully I have screenshots of messages cause we communicated via text on WhatsApp. The only GOOD thing at that hotel were the two women that worked at the restaurant Brighteye and Alexis. They made my breakfast good, they were very kind to me. They tried their best to make me feel better, but it’s only so much they could’ve done. I appreciate those women very much. Outside of them, it was a nigh**are and the worst hotel I ever stayed at.

Not easy to find if you arrive by car...no indications and a terrific road.If you have heavy luggages there's lots of stairs and the distance from reception to your room could be longer than you can imagine (no one helps you)No restaurant, just a delivery service from restaurants near you.Breakfast to ameliorate.People so friendly and perfect housekeeping.Great view on the ocean.

Beautiful beach-front property with the nice price. Dolphin discovery is in a walkable distance. Services of dining room and cleaning hotel room are good enough. Only thing we faced was that they did not refund the extra guest charges even after asking for the change from 3 guests to 2 guests in time.
