Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur

From the moment we arrived to leaving we were totally treated like royalty throughout our 3 night stay. Everything was just perfect and nothing too much trouble for the staff- our personal concierge Aniket was a superstar and even arranged a special behind the scenes experience for my husband to take photos. Our room was beautiful- every detail thought through and special touches from the lovely Asif. Complimentary afternoon tea is a nice touch and morning yoga, plus a choice of 2 pools and a lovely spa. We ate a very special dinner at Pillars which was beautiful, and thanks to ***isha for her recommendations on Indian dishes. Once here you won’t want to go out, but do as Jodhpur is a magical place.

The palace is really worth the visit. The stay was excellent. The whole team was very warm and kind. We did loads of activities. Sweta was always a phone call away to help us go around and do things during our stay. Highly recommend enjoying the High Tea at the property. Spa and Indoor swimming was fun. Horse riding we also enjoyed. And the grand welcome when we arrived at the airprot was something to cherish always. Thanks to the entire team.

This was the most amazing experience of our trip. We were pampered and were given the best hospitality. Our welcoming procession made us feel special. The hotel had ***y complimentary activities for us to choose from including mocktail making and palace tours. The food was delicious and they were very catering to our needs. You can choose from an Indian meal or a multi continental meal. Their drinks were incredible. Our favorite drinks are Jodhpur Lancers (whiskey based) and The Maharani Special (vodka based). Not only was the food good, but also the palace was filled with beauty and history. Its majestic architecture leaves you in awe at each time of the day. So make sure you have your camera ready, especially to capture photos of the peacocks. We were able to feed the peacocks at breakfast too! The entertainment was phenomenal. The Rajasthani musicians played Bollywood songs we requested during our welcome. The musicians during dinner played the best music that made us sing and dance *****. They are all so talented and we wish we could listen to them all day. The best part about Umaid Bhawan that makes it stand out from any other hotel was the staff. Some of the staff members that made our stay amazing: Aniket, Jabbar, ***isha, Yakup, Shobhit, Narendar, Sweta, Harsh, Kartik, Deepika and Hardik.

The property is gorgeous but the customer service is most disappointing. This was our third visit to this property as we were most impressed the first two times . This time the customer service was appalling, disappointing and most upsetting for a property of this magnitude . We had a written confirmation of the cost of the 3 nights for 2 rooms . Upon arrival I confirmed the price just to make sure . When we went to check out in the evening , we were given a bill for a totally different amount for the rooms . There was a difference of 1000 US dollars . We showed them our confirmation and after keeping us at the desk for over an hour , from 10.00 pm till 11:30 they could not figure it out . There was no ***ager or anyone with some common sense that could help us . We were supposed to depart early next day , but again waisted over an hour with the duty ***ager who was totally useless and had no interest in helping us .She was ada***t we pay the full wrong price even though we had proof and confirmation of the original price. There was NO effort made to help us or come to a fair compromise. As we were anxious to leave after wasting more time ,and she was not accommodating, we paid the bill and left. We will never return to this property again. There was no reason or explanation. They paid no attention to what our confirmation said . We have travelled the world and never experienced this from any property , especially a supposedly 5 star property like this. Very disappointing and most unprofessional. Certainly not a 5 star hotel .

We spent two extraordinary days here, from the pompous and warm welcome, to the upgrade to a suite, the great food in the evening and at breakfast in a woderful ambience in the garden with traditional music and above all the great service of the staff, woh offered me such a personalised surprise for my birthday.

I would highly recommend this palace hotel - it is nothing like we ever experienced before . just want to add that when booking plan to have a full day just a the hotel to really take advantage of all it has to offer, you will recharge and leave feeling like royalty.

I have not been through a higher standard hotel experience until now! And we have stayed in the absolute best hotels in the world! It is not only the palace itself that is magnificently extraordinary but that is complemented by the quality of the service and care provided by the hotel staff. I want to say that the praise should cover all staff as everything was perfect! The quality of the food service from the afternoon tea, casual trophy room drinks, breakfast was exquisite. Here, I would mention, for their impeccable service, Yash and Harsh, Sadique, Gaurav and Chander and all the others that I cannot recall by name. The perfection of the room care with numerous small touches and setups of flowers and balloons done by the team, mentioning Narayan and Ramesh and other team members.. Of course, the specialist team that provided an unforgettable experience for our anniversary celebration cannot be omitted, team spearheaded by Swaroop Singh and - Surendran Singh, Mrs. Judy, Rajveer Singh and Skander Singh. I feel that my feedback will fall short of the high praise that I want to convey. This was without a doubt the best hotel experience to date and we are looking forward to returning for more. Until then, we will make sure to recommend your hotel to all our friends and acquaintances that are looking for a unique hospitality experience! Thank you

Wow. What an incredible hotel, one of the best I have ever stayed in. We had the best few days staying here and could only have wished to stay that bit longer. The hotel is so impressive itself but it’s the staff that really make this place so special. The hospitality is second to none, each member of staff going above and beyond to make your stay one to remember. Whilst all of the staff did an outstanding job I have to mention Swaroop, Surendra, Lax*** and Yash who we saw day after day and looked after us like royalty so thank you so much to you. Excellent property; excellent experience ; excellent service; very warm attitude of the staff ; surprise element from mr Swaroop singh ji- with a nice king walk to the central hall from our room and back and then ending with came cutting by a sword; marvellous
