Grand Hotel Duchi d'Aosta

If you want to truly experience Trieste in the right location and with style then this is the place. A small perfectly built Palace run by staff who care about their guests. There is absolutely everything you need here. I arrived late at night and when I walked out onto the breakfast room the following room found myself saying wow at the view on the stunning Piazza. I choose this hotel because I had always wanted to stay there in Trieste, I did return for a second stay and I would stay there again. You are close to the sea, the historical centre, numerous bars and restaurants, shopping and tourist hotspots. The rooms are lovely, majestically clean. Breakfast are a relaxing experience you do not want to hurry because why would you with that view around you. The bar is the place to be throughout the day and also acts as an informal restaurant throughout the day. Formal is also available but that was not my choice. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean with the best amenities provided. Book your stay, you know you want to!

The confort, attention and kindness provided by the hotel and its staff were perfect - just what we needed after visiting such a beautiful city under a not so perfect weather.

The location is excellent, and the staff are very helpful and charming, the hotel itself is good ,but shop around you may be able to get better value somewhere else. Information on places to visit can be obtained from the nearby tourist office.

This was my first time in this hotel. And first of all, I was amazed by the property. It is so classy and so elegant. I enjoyed the room and the view. But I must say that all stuff was amazing. Front desk, vallet, restaurant staf, they all made our stay qmazing. I would recommend this hotel always and to everyone if staying in Trieste.

The location was really nice in the center of town and beautiful hotel wonderful restaurant and the staff was very helpful. I didn’t really have anything planned because I was just staying in Trieste for one night on my way to Slovenia. When I checked in, they suggested I go to the Kastel Miramare which was beautiful, spent four hours there it reminded me of the Schonbrun Palace in Vienna.

We spent three lovely days at the Duchi d’Aosta. Our room was beautiful, well laid out and with super comfortable bedding. The hotel preserves its historical aesthetic past but offers every modern comfort you expect in a five star establishment. Staff was courteous and helpful with getting tickets to a concert at the Teatro Verdi around the corner. Breakfast looking at the Piazza Unita’ is fabulous.

It is a hotel that lives on a past of splendor. Despite being in a huge building, the areas of the hotel are small, the photographer has done an excellent job to sell the hotel because only upon entering one is disappointed. Rooms are decorated with a very strange taste, mixing styles that they don’t match together. Of course they show the nice rooms on internet. There are much more interesting 4-star hotels in the city in an old buildings with very nice renovations at a similar price. The reception staff, breakfast staff and housekeepers are the best thing about the hotel. I can't say the same about the waiter at Harry's restaurant, who boasts a lot about its historical name but slow and unprofessional service.

I have tried several times, via telephone and e-mail, to change my reservation. Anytime I try to do so, either no one answers the phone or they’re unable to help me because the clerk who handles reservations isn’t there. I’ve tried via the Relais Chateau website/phone and directly. I see that Marina is someone who responds from the hotel on here. Can someone please advise how to get in touch with someone who can actually help? Many thanks in advance!
